How Does Pet Euthanasia at Home Work?
Scheduling and Consultation. The process begins by contacting us and we can pass on your details to Vets 2 Your Pets or The Kindest Goodbye (depending on your preference) who will then schedule a consultation. A compassionate veterinarian will discuss your pet’s condition, your options, and help guide you through the decision-making process.
The Euthanasia Process. When the time arrives, the veterinarian will come to your home. They will first administer a calming sedative to relax your pet. Once your pet is fully relaxed, the euthanasia medication will be administered. Your pet will peacefully pass away, surrounded by the love of their family.
Post-Euthanasia Care. Afterward, you may choose what to do with your pet’s remains, whether it’s cremation, burial, or another option. We can provide guidance based on your preferences and talk this through with you.
